UBC Officers, ESTs Hear About SIB Pilot Recruitment & Retention Program

(above: Sue Schultz presented to General President McCarron and UBC officials and ESTs from around the country to update them on the SIB pilot recruitment and retention program)

At the UBC's Spring 2014 EST meeting, Sue Schultz (NRCC member and NJCF Training Instructor) represented the International Sisters in the Brotherhood Committee (ISIB) and her home Northeast Regional Council very well by offering an excellent presentation on the recruitment and retention pilot program currently underway in that Council.

Sue is chair of the New Jersey & New York State SIB Committee and and ISIB member. She and Council EST Michael Capelli walked meeting attendees through the program, including General President Douglas McCarron and the General Executive Board.

The New Jersey & New York State SIB Committee was recently selected to pilot a women’s recruitment initiative.  The focus is on marketing to - and creating partnerships with -  Community Based Organizations as a way to recruit women for careers as union carpenters.
