A Letter to Our Members

A Letter to Our Members

To our Members:

I wanted to take time to recognize all the hard work and dedication that all of you put into the 2016 elections.

I also wanted to say “thank you.”

I could not be more proud of the tremendous effort the men and women of the Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters made towards shaping the collective elections of the regions we represent.

I’m not just referring to the Presidential contest.  We dedicated ourselves to assisting the supporters of the Northeast Regional Council in winning their races and to help represent our hopes – our interests - in Washington, statehouses, county governments, municipalities and local school boards where we live.

We respect the result of the national election and we offer our congratulations to the President–elect.

As leaders, we will continue to build on our already well-established relationships with hundreds of elected officials. We look forward to building bridges to the newly elected ones as well. Moving forward, our agenda will be clear.

We will continue our efforts to protect existing labor legislation and to promote and preserve the wages, benefits and working conditions of all of our members.

In the days, months and years ahead there will be no time for contentment.

We will remain organized, vigilant, vocal, united and strong in the pursuit of our collective goals.

Fraternally,
