Parsippany, NJ (June 5, 2017) – Today, the Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters (NRCC) announced its endorsement of City Council Vice President Robert Peluso in his election bid for Parsippany Mayor. The NRCC is also endorsing Peluso’s City Council running mates: Casey Parikh and Chris Martino.
"Coming from a union family, it is my honor to accept the endorsement of the Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters,” said Peluso. “As Parsippany's future Mayor, I look forward to working with an organization that believes in education, while maintaining a high standard of excellence."
John Ballantyne, Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the NRCC, stands by Peluso as he runs for mayor.
“The NRCC is proudly supporting Peluso during his campaign because of his continued support of workers’ rights and middle-class citizens in the City of Parsippany,” said Ballantyne. “Now more than ever, we need political leaders who will defend the middle class and its workers and fight for issues such as: project labor agreements, ensuring area standard wages and upholding the Davis Bacon Act.”
