Congratulations to Phil Murphy, Sheila Oliver and Our Carpenter Candidates!

The Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters would like to congratulate candidate Phil Murphy, Sheila Oliver and the rest of our winning candidates for their victories in the 2017 Election. Over the course of his campaign, Murphy has stood firmly with the NRCC and has been a strong advocate for organized labor, workers' rights and fair wages for Union carpenters. The ongoing dedication of our members and team has also resulted in an overwhelming victory for “Vote NO” on the NY Constitutional Convention which will protect the rights, wages & benefits of nearly 40,000 men and women carpenters. In addition, we would like to recognize the victory of Larry Krasner, the new City District Attorney for Philadelphia, PA, who firmly aligns with the beliefs and strategic direction of the NRCC.

We would like to express our sincerest gratitude for all of our members who are responsible for making these milestones happen. Thank you to the rest of our carpenter candidates that ran excellent campaigns, but came up short in very tight races. These accomplishments are paramount for those we serve and would not have been possible without the work of such dedicated individuals that make up our ranks.
