ISELIN, N.J., Oct. 24, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters (NRCC) accepted the "Partner of the Year" Award at the Puerto Rican Association for Human Development's (PRAHD) 30th Annual Roberto Clemente Gala on Friday evening.
The gala held at the Renaissance Woodbridge Hotel, honored leaders and organizations throughout the community who support PRAHD and their mission in reinforcing programs aimed at helping local youth.
PRAHD is a non-profit organization that specializes in assisting disadvantaged youth in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. PRAHD offers various programs that re-directs youth into positive lifestyle habits that helps them achieve their goals. For two years, the NRCC has partnered with PRAHD while supporting their mission.
Accepting the Partner of the Year Award was John Ballantyne, who is the Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the NRCC. As Ballantyne accepted the award, he gave his remarks on the importance of the remaining active in the community as it relates to disadvantaged youth.

Other honorable awards presented Friday evening included the Outstanding Business Leader Award, Goodwill Ambassador Award and the Corporate Excellence Award. As the gala concluded, other community leaders also gave their remarks on their accepted award.
