On Saturday, April 28th at 8 a.m., the Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters (NRCC) will host its Drywall Olympics and Flooring Olympics at the new, state-of-the-art Carpenters Training Center in Edison, NJ. Carpenters and floorers from our Locals will compete for the opportunity to be the NRCC representative at the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (UBCJA) Eastern District Drywall and Flooring Olympics on May 19th.
The Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters’ Drywall and Flooring Olympics will bring together carpenters from all Locals within the Council’s five-state region (New Jersey, New York and parts of Maryland, Pennsylvania and Delaware) to compete in timed construction events. The competitors are judged on the basis of time, neatness and safety.

The winners of the NRCC Drywall and Flooring Olympics will advance to the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (UBCJA) Eastern District Drywall Olympics and Flooring Olympics. This event will also hosted at the Carpenters Training Center on Saturday, May 19th, 2018. The qualifiers for this 2nd competition and their immediate family members will be flown out to the UBCJA National Olympics in Las Vegas, Nevada which will be a highlight of the annual UBCJA Interior/Exterior Systems & INSTALL Leadership Conference at the UBC Las Vegas International Training Center in June.
